GOODBYE JOHNNY

Today I saw Johnny again. At the weekend there was probably too much going on for him in the parking lot, but now on Monday there was plenty of free space and sunshine again. He scampered back and forth, moving his red head up and down as if he were doing push-ups, remaining in the sun, but generally rather restlessly asserting his territory. I said goodbye to him, because it was time to check out and leave. My plan was heading south to a different island and for sure different people.
I packed my things in the car and off I went. Traveling alone has some advantages, one is you can decide where you go, and when. This time I took Highway No. 1 leading to Jupiter and Juno Beach, past the golf courses, the beach life, the nice tiki bars and marinas full of boats. I had lunch in one of those at Port Salerno, and again I was grateful to have the opportunity to be in that warm climate zone, while at home a freezing cold had its grim grip on life outside. While sipping a cool iced tea though, I noticed a sign:

Very true I can tell you, matching my experience you need to analyze the tonality though. Some people say the eyes are the mirror of the soul, but I think the voice is the newspaper of it. If you learn to read the non-verbal expressions, you might get the „Breaking News” from the person next to you, who you think to know. If we all would try to listen better to each other… what a world that would be…..
